If you want to learn more about the ECO scheme, please visit the GOV.UK website.
Boiler Grants are funded by ‘Affordable Warmth’ part of the Energy Company Obligation.
What help is available?
Under the Government’s ECO initiative, claimants can benefit from a range of energy efficiency measures designed to reduce their home heating costs and general efficiency of their property. ECO refers to the rules set by the Government which mean that all obligated utility suppliers need to set aside funds for people with low incomes and in vulnerable households. These funds are then reinvested within the community to assist those who need it the most.
Available measures include Boiler Replacements, Underfloor Insulation and Loft Insulation.

How does it work?
We will arrange for one of our installers to call out to your property to carry out a free site survey and assessment to determine your eligibility for funding and grants and also make recommendations for suitable energy efficiency measures and to provide advice on the boiler replacement and installation process. During the site survey we undertake any required health and safety, fire and asbestos assessments and draw up comprehensive floor plans. We also document any issues or problems with your existing boiler and take photographic evidence.
Once your assessment has been completed, we clarify your grant entitlement via the Department of Work and Pensions.
Once we have confirmed your current benefits entitlement falls within the required income threshold, we can arrange for one of our Gas Safe Registered Operatives to call out and install your new boiler. The whole process can be as little as 3 days.
Do you qualify for Under Floor Insulation?
Under Floor Insulation or UFI requires Insulation material to be carefully installed below the floor, in between the joists and installed strategically to ensure continuity below the damp proof course to minimise heat losses through un-insulated floors and basements. This saves on unnecessary heat losses through the floor and means you heat your property less and save on energy and home heating costs. This prevents the cold rising through the floor from the ground into your property.
Benefits
Free Under Floor Insulation, to qualifying homeowners in receipt of one of the benefits listed below when installed alongside a Boiler Replacement under the grant scheme
Save on energy costs and heat loss through the floor
Insulation can help save up to 20% of heat loss through the floor
Workmanship and Materials – Guaranteed
Unlike many other companies – we do not insist you have to get the Insulation done to get a boiler grant – if required; you can get the Boiler Replacement on its own
A comprehensive survey is undertaken at NO COST to you to determine if your property qualifies.
This is a minimal disruptions measure and our experienced Installers will ensure there are no space constraints for an access hatch or hatches to install the Insulation below floor level; around 30cm space is required below the floor.
Comprehensive construction detailing is planned and executed through collaboration with System Designers and Manufacturers; delivery is via experienced Insulation Technicians who are qualified though City & Guilds NVQ’s in Insulation and Building Treatments and ACOPS Gas Safety. The aim is to minimise thermal bridging at reveals and junctions with the floors and walls through comprehensive planning and ensuring continuity of insulation to allow a compliant and effective Domestic Retrofit option.
